To hire a car in Dublin (Ireland) and drive it up to Belfast city a driver should be at least 25 years old.
Driver must present a full license held for 1 year (2 years for Alamo) with no major endorsements.
Notice that if hiring a car from Avis you will not have any problems as long as your driver’s license is valid for 8 years.
UK license holders need to present the photocard and the paper counterpart. International driver's license and domestic license are also needed.
Be attentive: for some vehicles there are different requirements, for example, to rent car of Luxury group you must be at least 28-29 years old. Always check such details on Rental Conditions!
